Alona joined Pillars in 2020 as the Ascend Case Manager serving young adults living with mental health challenges. Now as the Development Manager, Alona focuses on non-government grant research and proposal, community engagement, and donor stewardship. She holds a degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Prior to her time with Pillars, Alona worked as a child welfare social worker in Iowa.
When asked about her favorite part of her job, Alona said she enjoys telling Pillars’ story to the community. Each day, Alona feels inspired and energized by the community’s support for Pillars. Outside of work, Alona enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
