As Senior Director of Crisis Housing, Jerome leads and supports teams that provide client services at Pillars Resource Center, Pillars Adult Shelter and the Pillars Adult & Family Shelter. Prior to the merger, Jerome was Executive Director at Homeless Connections, the position for which he was hired in 2012. During a 26-year career in law enforcement, he served as patrol officer, detective, detective supervisor, division commander and interim Chief of Police in the Grand Chute Police Department. His responsibilities included staff recruitment and selection, planning community events, policy development, records management, budget preparation and management, strategic planning, purchasing, training, program development, project management and team building. Jerome has a Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice (cum laude) from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and is also a graduate of the Fox Valley Technical College Executive Development Institute. Jerome and his wife have two children. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time at their cabin in Vilas County and participating in a variety of outdoor activities.
