Mackenzie joined Pillars as marketing and communications coordinator in November 2020. She previously worked as a multimedia journalist at WXOW in La Crosse and WBAY in Green Bay. A proud Blugold, Mackenzie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a public relations emphasis.
Her favorite part of her job is sharing the Pillars story with the community. She feels inspired by the work happening around her every day carried out by co-workers and volunteers dedicated to addressing housing needs in the Fox Valley. Mackenzie also enjoys meeting and engaging with the clients to highlight their experiences. She especially loves hearing their stories of success and overcoming adversity.
When she is not at work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and two cats. She loves to travel, watch HGTV, complete home renovation projects, and visit local coffee shops in search of the best Chai Latte. Mackenzie and her husband are excited to welcome their first child in coming weeks.
