Meet Our New Volunteer Manager

Meet Tessa, Our New Volunteer Manager

Pillars is excited to announce that Tessa Evers is our new volunteer manager. Tessa comes to us with experience in volunteer management, street outreach, and case management. She will lead our volunteers with a bright outlook, and a deep passion for Pillars’ mission and the people we serve.

While studying at St. Norbert College, Tessa spent a summer as a missionary working with people experiencing homelessness in Denver. After graduating, Tessa moved out to Colorado and worked as a case manager for a homeless coalition and then as a shelter associate at a women’s emergency shelter. She then moved back to the Fox Valley and gained experience in volunteer management at another local non-profit.

At Pillars, Tessa will work with volunteers across all our sites to coordinate opportunities such as meal providers and servers, breakfast hosts, activity hosts, shuttle van drivers, front desk assistants, and shelter assistants. She is looking forward to meeting all our volunteers and getting to know each of their unique personalities.

When it comes to free time, Tessa enjoys playing volleyball and thrifting. She is also a fan of the outdoors and enjoys things like traveling and hiking. The team at Pillars is looking forward to getting to know Tessa more and we can’t wait for you all to meet her.
